Robert Angelucci, EMT-B Receives Havre de Grace "EMS Person of the Month".

On May 20th members of the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and the Susquehanna Hose Company were dispatched to the Tidewater Marina for a report of an elderly male that had fallen off a boat and into the water. While units were responding by-standers on seen as well as employees began to gather to offer assistance. One of those employees responding was EMT Robert Angelucci who is also an administrative Officer of the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps. On his arrival Robert assessed the situations and without hesitation for personal sacrifice dove into the water in an attempt to rescue the victim. Robert dove several times in the general area, which was described as a depth of about 12 feet and very murky, low to zero visibility, and with out any safety equipment. Robert continued his efforts until additional resources arrived and took over. Even though the outcome was unfavorable, Robert demonstrated true bravery and performed an unselfish act to help another human being. Presenting the Award are left to right: Councilman John Correri Jr., EMT "Robbie" Angelucci, Chief Jeremy Mothershed, and Mayor Wayne Dougherty.
